Well, we lived to tell the tale. After a grueling and awesome trip to market, we’re back and ready to expand our collection with some new and eclectic finds.

We were excited to see what this year’s trip to market would bring, and let’s just say we were not disappointed. All of our eyes were wandering in different directions, but there were a few things that wowed us all. Some of our favorite pieces included big, bold floral prints from Natural Curiosities, Native American Kinney and Hall Lithographs, and the new Thomas O’Brien collection at Century Furniture.

Showroom Floor At Market

As for up-and-coming trends, we noticed tons of geodes. They seem to be big everywhere, and understandably so. We love them, too. How many other things are earthy and glamorous at the same time? In the art world, horses are dominating canvases. They seem to be the most popular subject matter of 2015!

Surprisingly, we weren’t really shocked by anything we saw. The viscose rug trend is still going strong. Those things are almost too soft to resist, but still not the most practical option for most spaces. One thing that did demand a double take was a set of preserved octopuses in shadow boxes. Can you imagine? We probably couldn’t have—at least not before we saw them first-hand.

We did come across some things we just couldn’t pass up, like incredible bronze animal sculptures, dazzling crystal accent pieces, and, of course, gorgeous furniture settings. We haven’t experienced any “non-buyers remorse” yet. You know, when you wish you would have bought something but didn’t. We’re still deliberating though.

Our new pieces will definitely give our showroom a fresh feel. We can hardly wait to add them to the mix. Unfortunately it takes some time for the upholstery to be completed, and for the pieces to make their way to Studio Home. Don’t worry, you’ll see them in the showroom later this summer.

The Team Taking A Break

After a fabulously exhausting trip, we’re thinking about all the possibilities for our new pieces…and where we’re going to put them. We could use a little extra room. So, it’s a good thing our Annual Spring Sale is this weekend. It’s the perfect win-win. We’ll overhaul our showroom and you’ll find amazing deals.

See you this weekend!
